On Tuesday, November 4th, Judge Greg Guidry was elected to the Louisiana State Supreme Court with a handsome majority. This was a striking example of our democracy in action. The best candidate won an election whose outcome was never doubted by those who know him. In years to come Judge Guidry's integrity, respect for the rule of law and his solid intelligence can be counted upon to repay the confidence shown in him by every citizen and voter.
Judge Guidry is deeply grateful to all his supporters, and especially to his tireless campaign team, his many friends and family, all of whom freely gave their time and encouragement, and to the many organisations and notable public figures who came forward to endorse his candidacy.
e has a quiet
strength reflecting his solid reputation for uncompromisng fairness and firm
justice. As a United States Prosecutor, he fought corruption and helped rid our
streets of drugs and criminals. Later, as a District Court judge, he was so
highly regarded and respected that his candidacy for the Court of Appeal was
unopposed. Judge Greg Guidry is now the leading choice to restore conservatism
to our Supreme Court.
